President's Message -

Susan HinckWelcome to a productive and inspirational 2026!
In prior IHCNO newsletters, I reported on projects in development that can help you build your leadership and professional skills. Below is a summary of two current projects. Please read the separate articles in this newsletter for each project to learn how you can be part of the action.
The 2026 IHCNO conference, in collaboration with the Association of District Nurse and Community Nurse Educators (ADNE) will take place in-person at City St. George’s University in London England June 17-19. The conference title is Caring Beyond Walls: The Power of Nursing in Homes, Communities, and Primary Care Settings. Register for the conference and submit an oral presentation or poster abstract. Opportunities are still available for your organization to increase your visibility by becoming an exhibitor or conference sponsor.
Write a chapter for a book to be published by Springer Nature in 2026. Chapters may be written by individual authors or groups. Topics include the specialty practice of home-based care, undergraduate education, transition to practice, quality of care, and technology. A section of the book will contain chapters describing home-based nursing care in different countries. Let us know of your interest and topic of expertise.
As you can see, we have a lot happening and we want you to be part of it. Contact us at [email protected] to tell us about your interests and learn more about joining a committee.
