Celebrating Nurses !!!

A message from IHCNO President,

Susan Hinck PhD APRN GCNS-BC

May is acknowledged as Nurses Month in many counties to honor the birthday of Florence Nightingale.  IHCNO celebrates the expertise, leadership, and passion nurses bring to their work. We want to hear your stories of how nurses have advocated for patients and families, advanced health equity, and transformed lives and communities. Share your story by sending an email to IHCNOrg@gmail.com  and we may post it on our website. We at IHCNO thank you for all that you do.  Susan Hinck,  IHCNO President

International Home Care Nurses Organization

The International Home Care Nurses Organization (IHCNO) seeks to advance home care nursing around the world by providing a platform where nurses can support and learn from one another. We define “home care nurses” as nurses who provide care to patients in their homes. Home care nursing’s patients include those with acute or chronic health problems, no matter how young or old. Patients include those receiving hospital-at-home, skilled, private duty and palliative services, and many other types of care provided in the patient’s home. We recognize that home care nursing is a specialized area of nursing practice and we seek to support nurses in home healthcare clinical practice, education and research.
